Annual Members and Supporters Meeting 28th March 2023.

Thank you to all of those of you who attended via Zoom our annual meeting last week and we hope that you found it interesting. We were delighted to welcome Dr Tom Stanton from the University of Loughborough and Claire Boothby from the Bat Conservation Trust who gave two fascinating presentations on the global topic of marine litter and Scotland's 'Species on the Edge' initiative. Sincere thanks to both of them for kindly giving up their time to share the work that they are involved in.

We know that minutes of annual meetings of organisations can be pretty dire but this time we encourage you to take time and view the presentations by Tom and Claire that are both a must for anybody who has an interest in our environment and especially those involved in beach and shoreline cleans. Tom's work lifts the lid on the global pandemic of marine litter and like us you will be shocked by the research being done at the university. Did you also know that  due to the biodiversity crisis there are an estimated 1,200 species at risk of extinction in Scotland alone!

Finally, the link below will take you to the draft minutes of the meeting which includes both presentations and the  video recording of the Zoom session.

Thank you again to all who participated and we hope you will enjoy the two presentations. If it's easier to watch the live footage of those, just fast forward on the video.
