Appointment of new SLEF Secretary

We are delighted to announce that Rob Ware has agreed to become the new SLEF Secretary following the 'retirement' of long-serving David Ashford. Rob comes to us with a wealth of community work experience and is currently Secretary of the Sleat Community Council and Sleat Transport Forum and a member of the Skye and Lochalsh Access Forum. Early this year he stepped down as a Member of CalMac's independent Community Board after a three year post and was a founding board member of SkyeConnect CIC, the island's Destination Management Organisation from 2016-2021. We look forward to Rob's contribution as SLEF moves forward.
SLEF Chair, Roger Cottis paid tribute to David Ashford for his many years of dedicated service to the Forum and said 'no doubt David will have plenty to do even after stepping down from SLEF'. The board presented a bottle of Torabhaig Legacy Series single malt whisky as a token of its appreciation.
