SNH Marine Monitoring Handbook issued

SNH have now published their Community-led Marine Biodiversity Monitoring Handbook. It aims to help communities record and monitor the marine life they discover inlocal waters. It includes a guide to survey planning and getting started safey, a range of survey methods and specific operational guidance for survey equipment and techniques. Members of SSSi contributed to the developmengt of the handbook (and appear in some of the photos!). Once lockdown is over, we will be trialling the techniques in the handbook, through use of the underwater ROV and GoPros.
