Fern Walk and Photography Competition - Friday 19th May, 3 pm, Armadale Castle
A short guided walk and talk led by our very own plant guru, Tim Godfrey. Find out about the many different types of ferns we have locally. Ferns are amongst our oldest plant species on Earth as illustrated by our attached promotional poster. Don't worry - we are not expecting the velociraptor to burst out of the undergrowth around the Castle grounds!
Under 16s (accompanied by an adult please) joining the event can also enter our fun photo competition. Capture an image that shouts Spring on Sleat and the photo that our team judges to best do that will feature as our latest cover photo on our Facebook page. The winner will also receive a canvas print of their photo courtesy of Skyelark gift shop! No fancy camera or technical skills required. It could be anything from an insect to a skyscape.
